What this notice covers
What happens to information submitted through this website. It does not cover the separate arrangements under which Asia Africa Retail Alliance Ltd handles counterparty information in the course of trading, which are dealt with contractually.
What the enquiry form collects
Your name, your email address and a description of the product you are looking for. Anything else is optional and only what you choose to give: your company, telephone number, delivery destination, quantity, target price or budget, delivery date, specifications and any other information. Nothing else. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this site.
What happens to it
The enquiry reaches us as an email and is answered by a person. It is not stored in a database on this website, and it is not passed to anyone other than the email provider that carries the message.
How long it is kept
For as long as the enquiry is live, and afterwards only where it forms part of a commercial record we are required to keep. An enquiry that leads nowhere is deleted with the correspondence.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to the address below and we will act on it.
Still outstanding
Registration with the Mauritius Data Protection Office and the appointment of a data protection officer are in hand and are not yet complete. This notice will name both once they are. Nothing here should be read as a claim that they already exist.
